Our New York office has one of the most enviable settings in New York City. The firm occupies all twelve floors of One Broadway, a landmark building, which has seen many and varied reincarnations, from tavern to family estate, from hotel to the offices of the United States Line. In between, it served as the headquarters for George Washington and General Putnam during the Revolution. After they abandoned the city, the British forces used the building as a Command Post. In its present configuration, it was considered New York’s first “skyscraper”, standing guard over New York Harbor.
From our balcony and windows, we have unobstructed views of the confluence of the East and Hudson Rivers, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, as well as the landmark Customs House, which figured so prominently in the city’s development. The firm has been in many downtown locations in the last 130 years and One Broadway has been its home since 1981.
