Kenyon won a significant victory for Boston Scientific Corporation when the US District Court in Delaware issued a ruling upholding a July 2005 jury verdict in a patent case against Johnson & Johnson. The ruling denied Johnson & Johnson's motion to overturn the verdict, in which the jury had found Boston Scientific's US Patent 6,120,536 valid and infringed by Johnson & Johnson's CYPHER® stent. The patented stent is coated to deliver a drug to the coronary arteries to prevent reclosing of the arteries. The ruling also denied Johnson & Johnson’s request for a new trial. Case number 1:03-cv-1138 (2006).
