, partner in our New York office, spoke on Intellectual Property and Ethics: Confronting the Problems Arising in Trademark Infringement Investigations, Patent Prosecution Conflicts and Malpractice Issues. This panel used a series of hypotheticals to discuss how to handle ethical dilemmas encountered by IP practitioners in their day-to-day practice, including: using pretexts in investigating trademark use, infringement and counterfeiting; and a medley of ethical and patent malpractice issues that arise during or from patent prosecution.
