Edward T. Colbert Appeared on Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report" -- hosted by his brother Stephen Colbert -- on Thursday, February 12, 2009 to discuss the "Obama Hope" copyright case that has garnered much media attention.
The high-profile case centers on Shepard Fairey, a street artist who filed a lawsuit earlier this week against The Associated Press (AP) in an effort to defend himself against copyright infringement claims. Fairey had used an AP photo that he reworked for a poster image of President Obama during the election campaign. The AP is now demanding payments for any money that Fairey makes from the image.
